Melbourne electro pop duo Glass House release their latest single
Help me take the world off my shoulders...
Up and comers in the scene Glass House, a duo comprised of Paula Maki and Joel Batchelor, have surprised us by dropping their latest tune Freya.
The song is an exploration of sounds and texture in an electro pop format. The atmospheric intro draws you in, before being hit with a thumping beat and commanding bass line.
This song is all about pulling you in, leaving you hanging, and then coming back at you with more. Freya is constantly building itself up. Layer by layer, piece by piece. Building the anticipation for its big chorus. By the climax of the song, it is a rich tapestry of vocal harmonies and swelling synths.
It's an exciting taste of things to come from Glass House, who have been steadily releasing singles since late 2020. Catch them at Kindred Studios supporting Ballarat indie pop cool dudes Meraki Minds November 19. Get your tickets here.
